In a press statement issued here, Mr. Phoolka said the commission had recommended registering four cases that had been investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He said, “In his report, Nanavati mentioned that 241 cases closed by the police were not sent to courts for trial. Unfortunately, he recommended that only four of the cases be re-opened. Justice can be done only if the remaining 237 cases are reopened too.�
�The Kejriwal Government had set up a�Special Investigating Team (SIT) to re-investigate the remaining 237 cases and it should be made functional�, he added.
Mr. Phoolka sought the Prime Minister’s package for the rehabilitation of the genocide victims be implemented by the Modi Government. The package includes jobs for the victims� families.
