:dateline:After making a controversial statement regarding the Dalit community,�Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporter Yoga master Ramdev has hurt the religious sentiments of Sikhs by disrespecting a photograph of Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji. For which, an FIR has been registered against him.
Sikh groups have taken exception to Ramdev�s act of placing a photograph of Guru Gobind Singh ji on the floor, while he himself sat on the stage at one of his Yoga camps in Punjab.
The photograph is said to have been taken during� Yoga camp of Ramdev held recently at Talwandi Sabo.
Jalandhar based Harpreet Singh has lodged the FIR. He said his religious sentiments have been hurt after seeing the picture of Ramdev sitting above and Guru�s Picture lying below with the support of a stool.
Jalandhar police have filed FIR against Ramdev at Police station division No. 4 under section 295-A of IPC.
Meanwhile, various Sikh organizations led by Jathedar Jagjit Singh Gaba, jointly staged a protest against Ramdev and burnt his effigy before they proceeded to get an FIR lodged against him
Earlier, various cases have been registered against him for his anti-Dalit remarks. In an election speech, he had stated that Rahul Gandhi has gone to the Dalits for �Honeymoon� and �picnic�.
