:dateline:Bhai Rajinder Pal Singh, spokesperson of the Sikh Organization for Prisoner Welfare and the Akhand Kirtani Jatha has stated that the�punishment announced by Jathedar Sri Akal Takhat Sahib to Akali Minister Bikram Majithia is not in accordance to feelings being expressed by the Sikh sangat (congregation).� Bhai RP Singh stated that Bikram Majithia had altered the words of pious shabad (hymn)�Deh Siva Bar Mohe Ehe composed by Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Stating that no alterations to Gurbani (scripture) are allowed, Bhai RP Singh said by fitting name of Arun Jaitley into the shabad, Bikram Majithia has committed an unpardonable act.� He stated that representatives of the Akhand Kirtani Jatha had written a letter to Jathedar Sri Akal Takhat Sahib asking him to carefully deliberate upon the matter before pronouncing any verdict.� It was further requested that Bikram Majithia should be excommunicated.
Bhai RP Singh stated that he felt that Akal Takhat Sahib Jathedar had taken the decision under the influence of someone else.� �The role played by Giani Gurbachan Singh as Jathedar of Akal Takhat Sahib did not seem fit for his position, rather it seemed like he was working as an employee of the Shiromani Akali Dal�, said RP Singh.
Bhai RP Singh had played an eminent role during the Amb Sahib Morcha in which Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa held a hunger strike to seek release of Sikh prisoners.
