CHANDIGARH, Punjab—Polling day in Punjab passed peacefully except some untoward incidents. But at all places, the situation remained under control.

Both Bajwa and his wife apparently skipped the queue to cast their votes. Charanjit Kaur pushed aside the voter who was standing before her to cast her vote for her husband who is the Member of Parliament (MP) and Congress candidate from Gurdaspur. Bajwa looked approvingly at what his wife did.
