Large Scale Samagam to be Organised in Memory of Shaheed Baba Manochahal

AMRITSAR, Punjab—A large scale Shaheedi Samagam is being organized in memory of martyr Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji Manochahal at his native village.  An Akhand Paath Sahib is underway at Gurdwara Baba Bir Singh Ji of Village Manochahal, Tarn Taran. 

In the meantime, Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwale (SYFB) is gearing up for a large scale commemorative program to be held on February 28, after the completion of an Akhand Paath Sahib. According to Dr. Gurjinder Singh Khalsa, the President of SYFB, the Sikh Sangat congregation from across all of Punjab will be arriving in Baba Manochahal’s native village to remember his martyrdom and sacrifice. Various Panthik organizations, including those of the Nihang Dal and Akhand Kirtani Jatha, as well as dhadhis and parcharaks have been invited to take part in the program.

An Amrit Sanchaar will also be organized on February 28 after completion of Akhand Path Sahib. Sikh Channel UK will be telecasting the program live Worldwide.

Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji Manochahal, a former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, had studied with Damdami Taksal. He became a martyr while fighting for Sikh rights as the main Commander-in-Chief of the Bhindranwale Tiger’s Force.
