:dateline:On birth annivesary of Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, a handful members of terrorist organization Shiv Sena hurt Sikh sentiments by burning his effigy at Bhagat Ravidas Chowk. As soon as the news of this mischievous act spread in the town, Sikh youth in large number assembled at Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib and approached the current Jathedar.
When the matter went to Giani Mal Singh, appointed Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, he took serious notice of the act and termed it as intolerable. He asked local police administration to take proper action against the accused of hurting Sikh sentiments.
�Such acts are the efforts of breaking peaceful environment at all that would not be allowed�, he added.
Senior Police Officers made assurance of arresting the accused.
Meanwhile, Giani Kewal Singh said, �To burn photograph of Sant Bhindranwale is a condemnable act. There is a conspiracy behind this.�
