:dateline:Chief of Akal Federation Bhai Narain Singh Chaura, who is currently detained in Amritsar Jail has said that Operation Blue Star was conspired by India in collaboration with Imperial States to ruin the Nationshood and dignity of Sikhs. �Bhai Chaura made this statement after a court appearance.
�Indian, British and Russian governments were not responsible alone for the attack on holiest Sikh shrine, but the role of BJP the right wing Hindu political outfit, Punjab CM Parkash Badal, Harchand Singh Longowal and Surjit Singh Barnala in this regard cannot be ruled out�, said Bhai Chaura.
Commenting on recent practices of appointed Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, he said, �In past, Sikhs used to call ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ to take important decisions about the Nation. However, today, not only Akal Takht and its Jathedar, but entire structure of Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) is under possession of �Badal family.� �He said that the “religious edicts issued by Jathedars are the edicts of Badal in reality. Jathedars only issue them under their own signatures. He demanded that the selection of Jathedars should be in hands of Sarbat Khalsa.”
He asked appointed Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to put lights on the grounds on which Badal has awarded with �Fakhr-e-qaum�. �Bhai Chaura said, “Badal has always backed anti-panthik elements, so the award should be withdrawn from him without any delay. He is engaged with the very party that was in favour of attack on Sri Darbar Sahib and wants Modi to become the Prime minister.”
Expressing his views regarding Aam Admi Party (AAP), he said the party could be alternative of Congress and BJP, but does not fit for structure Sikh politics. �He advised Sikhs that instead of being impressed by others, they should decide about their fate under the aegis of intellectual class and mobilize themselves under the leadership of leader with adequate caliber.
