:dateline:Punjabi folk singer and lyricists Raj Kakras debut Punjabi film Kaum De Heere will be released on February 28 this year. The film isbased on true life events of Shaheed Satwant Singh and Beant Singh after the attack on Sri Darbar Sahib in 1984.

Talking to media persons, Kakra said, To make Sikh nation aware of its splendid history, various efforts are being made and our effort in form of film production is also falls in this category. Rather we hope that our film will prove as milestone in this direction.

He said that the film is dedicated to martyrdom of Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh Agwan, Bhai Beant Singh and Bhai Kehar Singh.

A number of Panthik organizations, along with family members of Shaheeds are observing twenty-fifth martyrdom day of Bhai Satwant Singh and Bhai Kehar Singh on January 6 at village Agwan (Near Dera Baba Nanak). Shaheed Beant Singh and Satwant Singh had punished Indian Prime minister Indira Gandhi after she had ordered armed attack on Darbar Sahib (Amritsar) in June 1984.

Raj Kakra is playing the role of Shaheed Beant Singh in this movie. He is reportedly travelling abroad for the promotion of the movie.

After the attack on Sri Harmandir Sahib, two of Indira Gandhis bodyguards, namely Bhai Beant Singh and Satwant Singh shot her dead on October 31, 1984. Bhai Beant Singh was martyred by other bodyguards of Indira Gandhi. Bhai Satwant Singh was also wounded but he had survived the injuries. He was sentenced to death along with Bhai Kehar Singh.

The producers of the movie have announced to release this movie on February 28, 2014 though there are suspicions if the censor board would clear this movie for release.
