:dateline:The twenty-fifth�martyrdom anniversary of the Bhai Satwant Singh and Bhai Kehar Singh is being observed on January 6 on a large scale at Sri Akal Takhat Sahib. �Bhai Satwant Singh and Bhai Kehar Singh were hanged on January 6 1989, for punishing Indra Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India for ordering Operating Blue Star, an army attack on Sri Harmandir Sahib.
Various Panthik organizations like Dal Khalsa and Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani) have appealed to entire Sikh Sangat to arrive at Sri Akal Takht Sahib on January 6. �Program will start at 8 AM and will include a number of Panthik speakers.
Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema and Kanwarpal Singh have told our correspondents that a special program would be held to pay tributes to the Sikh martyrs. �Panthik Jathebandis are also expected to demand a memorial in Darbar Sahib complex in memory of both shaheeds.
