Bhai Gurbakhash Singh Khalsa reaches Amritsar; pay obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib

Bhai Gurbakhash SinghBhai Gurbakhash SinghSri Amritsar (December 26, 2013): As per his announcement made on Dec 25 at Gurdwara Amb Sahib Mohali, Bhai Gurbakhash Singh Khalsa has reached Sri Amrisar evening today where he paid obeisance at Sri Darbar Sahib.

As per sechdule, today, Bhai Khalsa was to end his fast at Sri Akal Takht Sahib after the release of Bhai Shamsher Singh and Bhai Lakhwinder Singh from Burail Jail Chandigarh, but both the prisoners were not released today.

As per information available with sikh24.com, Bhai Khalsa will not end his fast untill the release of these two singhs who are still lodged in Jail.

As per sources, the report regarding Shamsher Singh has been received from Patiala while the report of Lakhwinder Singh from Ludhiana is still awaited.

It is learnt that the Chandigarh Burail Jail IG was on leave today and the release of Shamsher Singh could not be possible. If IG returns from leave tomorrow, the release of both the convicts is possible tomorrow itself. Advocate Amar Singh Chahal said, however, that in the absence of IG, his assistant could use his authority. That is why, some Sikh activists have slammed Jail authority for delaying the release process.

It also implies that the efforts made by Jathedar Akal Takht Giani Gurbachan Singh to end the fast of Bhai Gurbakhsh Singh remained futile.

It is worthwhile to mention that the cavalcade of Buses and Cars of Bhai Gurbakhsh Singh had left Amb Sahib Gurdwara, Mohali in the morning today and arrived at Amritsar after 7:30 PM passing through various cities of Punjab. The other prominent dignitaries who joined this Khalsa march included Satnam Singh Paonta Sahib, Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, Gurnaam Singh , Sukhwinder Singh , RP Singh, Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad, Gurnaam Singh Sidhu, Rajinderpal Singh , Bibi Kulveer Kaur, Gurnaam Singh Sidhu and Kashmir Kaur.
