Latest news received from SOPW have just been in touch with the families of Lakhwinder Singh and Shamsher Singh, who are still lodged in Burrail Jail awaiting their parole release. The families were turned away from the prison gates because the authorities said they did not have the orders to release the two Singh’s, as they are still awaiting the return of the paperwork from the respective local police stations.
The two families are said to have been extremely upset and disappointed to have left the prison empty handed, without their loved ones, whose return they have been eagerly awaiting for some days now.
It is thought that, Shamsher Singh may be released tomorrow (Friday), after joining Bhai Gurbaksh Singh at Sri Akal Takath Sahib they will together share Langar with Sangat and break fast.
