:dateline:Gurpreet Singh Guri, a Sikh youth from Killa Hans, Ludhiana, staged a protest at the finals of the 4th annual Kabaddi World Cup. Gurpreet Singh Guri took over the microphone and blamed the current Government for ignoring the struggle of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa who has been on hunger strike since November 14.

The incident took place during the closing ceremony of the Kabaddi cup when celebrations were going on.

Gurpreet Singhs act has been termed as courageous as he did not care about the security forces present at the incident. Although he could face legal action, he has certainly raised awareness of Bhai Gurbaksh Singhs campaign. Acts like these, which dare the Badal Government are rare in Punjab.

Sadly, media in Punjab have termed him as a drunk man, however this is contrary to the fact. Gurpreet Singh was not under the influence of alcohol when he entered the stage.
