UPDATED BREAKING: Prominent Sikhs Take Up Hunger Strike for Prisoners in Absense of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa

:dateline:Reports are coming in that Bibi Manjit Kaur, Vice-Chairman of Shaheed Bhai Fauja Singh Trust and 4 other gursikhs have taken on the hunger strike in the absence of Bhai Sahib Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa who was kidnapped by Police in civilian clothes within the last few hours.

Without their uniforms, the police personnel were wearing Kesri Dastaars and chunnis and one was even carrying a nishan sahib. They said that they want to meet Bhai Sahib and as soon as they reached Bhai Sahib, took him away using force.

The Sikhs who tried to resist were beaten harshly and their Dastaars (turbans) were taken off.

The 5 Gursikhs have done ardas that they may continue the hunger strike in turns of 24 hours each until Bhai Gurbaksh Singh and other political prisoners are released.

Sources have been unable to reach the appointed Akaal Takhat Jathedaar, SGPC chief, or others who previously came out in support of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh’s hunger strike.

Sangat will be meeting tomorrow at 9 AM at Gurdwara Amb Sahib to rally in support of Bhai Sahib.
