:dateline:The�Badal family may be considered the dictators of Punjab, but the quest of sycophancy of the family is never ending. The opening ceremony of the fourth �World� Kabbadi cup at Bathinda demonstrated this. From the beginning to the end of the ceremony, the audience had a chance to listen to limitless praises of Parkash and Sukhbir Badal. �The Chief and the Deputy Chief Minister, along with Harsimrat Badal remained the center of attraction at the tournament.
Interestingly, at the beginning of the entertainment programme, the song �Kade Kade Rab Paida Karda Badal Varge Insaan� (people like Badal are rarely gifted by God) sung by Punjabi singer Harbhajan Mann was played to which male and female dancers performed bhangra.
After that, until the end of the ceremony, anchor Satinder Satti and other artists including Bollywood actress Pryanka Chopra flattered the Badal family.
All this was being carried out at the same time as Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa’s hunger strike at Gurdwara Amb Sahib in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Punjab. �The Punjab Government has so far not shown any interest in the campaign by Bhai Sahib despite there being worldwide support for it. �Sikh24 has learned that the SHO Kulbir Sandhu has already told the media that when required, the Punjab police can easily stop the hunger strike by picking up Bhai Gurbaksh Singh from the Gurdwara Sahib.
