BRADFORD, UK—A distraught family has issued a heartfelt plea for help to find a missing mum.

Seemberjeet Kaur, whose daughter has just turned four, disappeared on October 23.

The 35-year-old’s home is in East Bowling, Bradford, but there has been a possible sighting of her at Riddlesden.

“A cyclist has reported seeing somebody matching Seemberjeet’s description alongside the canal,” a family spokesman said today.

“We can’t be sure it was her, but it is a potential lead and we appeal to anyone else in Keighley who may have seen her to come forward.”

He added: “The family is devastated by the unexpected and uncharacteristic disappearance of Seemberjeet. It has left a real void in all our lives. She is a loving, caring and gentle human being, much loved by everyone who has come into contact with her.”

The last confirmed sighting of Mrs Kaur was on the Leeds-Liverpool Canal towpath near Roberts Park, Saltaire.

She had been due to collect her daughter from nursery school but did not turn up. Her husband, Baljeet, raised the alarm when the school contacted him to ask where his wife was.

Police say they are particularly concerned for Mrs Kaur because she was suffering from anxiety and depression.

Officers have been searching the area around the canal and the River Aire.

Mrs Kaur is described as Asian, about 5ft 4in tall, of slim build, with straight black shoulder-length hair which she usually wears down. She was wearing a beige coat, blue jeans and metallic brown ankle boots.

Anyone with information should contact the police on 101.
