:dateline:In a statement issued here containing strong wording, Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president S. Simranjit Singh Mann has taken sharp notice of the anti-Sikh and Pro-Hindutva agenda of Parkash Badal, Chief of Punjabs so called Panthik government, and blamed him for glorifying Hindutva faces in Indian politics such as Narendra Modi and Valabh Bhai Patel.
Narendra Modi is a Prime Ministerial candidate for the Hindu right wing political outfit and is considered as the main perpetrator behind the Muslim genocide in 2002 and Patel was the first Home Minister of India who decreed, in writing, to the Deputy commissioners of all districts of India that Sikhs are a criminal community from birth, and as such they must be specially overseen and oppressed.
The statement is in reaction to Badals statement that during his Punjab visit, Narinder Modi would be provided high level security, as well as a plan by the Badal government to build a statue of Patel in the state.
Badal has started a campaign in favour of Narendra Modi who is a bigot in nature and who has taken action to grab the land of 60, 000 Sikh farmers and attacked them as a part of a big conspiracy. He is responsible for the massacre of thousands of Muslim civilians after Godhra incident in 2002 in Gujrat. He is also the main accused of rapes committed against Muslim women in Gujarat, said Mann.
He said, Punjab is the sacred place of the Gurus and great men. Where the Gurus gave the message of peace, human welfare, equality, brotherhood, and love. In this holy place, giving great respect to such people and making expensive security arrangements for killers, is totally contrary to Sikh principles. The entire process is pitiful.
Expressing views about Patel, S. Mann stated that the decision made by Badal to construct a statue of Valabh Bhai Patel in the state also hurts Sikh sentiments.
He condemned, strongly, the practice of collecting iron for construction of the statue of a so-called Iron man.
In the strong reaction, Mann said, I would like to ask the immoral, weak and directionless leaders of Badal Dal why a statue of Master Tara Singh was installed on the side of a road in Delhi where dogs urinate, humiliating the real Sikh leaders. Are Sikhs not feeling this humiliation of their leaders?”
He attacked Jawahar Lal Nehru by saying that the orders to declare Sikhs a Criminal community from birth given by Patel were implemented by Nehru right away.
Continuing to berate the leaders of Badal Dal he said, They have totally bent before BJP and become the slaves of it.”
He suggested that they install the statue of Patel inside the same parliament where Hindu fundamentalist leaders are installed.
