Sikh Pilgrims to Leave for W. Punjab to Mark Parkash Gurpurab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Nov 15

:dateline:A Jatha of Sikh pilgrims is leaving for West Punjab in Pakistan to celebrate the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, founder of Sikhism, at Sri Nankana Sahib and to visit other historical Gurdwaras on November 15.

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), on Wednesday, released a press note in this regard, in which Dalmegh Singh, the secretary, said that the Sikh Jatha led by S. Randhir Singh Cheema, member SGPC, would leave for Pakistan from the SGPC head office in the morning by special bus.

As per information provided in the release, on November 16, the Jatha will go to Gurdwara Sacha Sauda Mandi Chooharhkana (Sheikhupura) from Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, the birth place of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, and after paying obeisance there, it will again come back to Gurdwara Nankana Sahib. The Jatha will take part in celebrations for the Parkash Gurpurab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on November 17.

�The Jatha will go to Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib to pay obeisance there on November 18.� From Gurudwara Panja Sahib, the Sikh pilgrims will move to Gurdwara Sri Dehra Sahib (Lahore) on November 20 where it will be staying for two days. After that, on November 22, the Jatha will visit Gurdwara Sri Rorhi Sahib Amnabad and Gurdwara Sri Kartar Pur Sahib and return to Gurdwara Dehra Sahib Lahore�, added Dalmegh Singh.

The pilgrims will come back to East Punjab on November 24th.
