International Fateh Academy to be First Centre of IGMA-Gatka by Sports Authority of India

2013-10-21-gatka-course—Gatka, the Sikh Martial Art is a part of Punjab’s tradition and culture and has been widely promoted by International Fateh Academy for the last several years. This will get a major boost as the Union Sports Ministry of India has decided to promote it and take it under its fold with a new scheme of Indigenous Games and Martial Arts IGMA – Gatka.

International Fateh Academy has been selected to be the first centre of IGMA-Gatka by Sports Authority of India wherein trials will be conducted on Oct 29 and Oct 30, 2013 from 8:00 am onwards. Under this scheme 20 students will be selected in the 8-14 age group and these will be given a free kit, an annual stipend of Rs. 3,000 and insurance cover.

International Fateh Academy is proud to be a Center of IGMA- Gatka training and is grateful to Sports Authority of India for the honour.

Any student wanting to be a part of the game can come to International Fateh Academy for trials and get admission in the Academy for training thereafter.
