MILTON KEYNES, UK—Police have released a CCTV image following a suspected hate crime at the Ramgharia Sabha Sikh Gurdwara in Kiln Farm, Milton Keynes for what they suspect to be a hate crime.

Offenders ripped down the Nishan Sahib and there was evidence of an attempt to burn it.

The incident happened at 11.25pm on Friday 27 September 2013 and police are keen to speak to a white man in a white shirt and dark trousers seen on CCTV in the area at the time.

Detective Constable Paddy Navin said:

“I am appealing for witnesses and would particularly like to speak to a couple who are seen on the CCTV footage walking on the Redway behind the temple at around 11.25pm on Friday and who may have seen or heard anything.

“I am also appealing for members of the public who may have attended the Kiln Farm pub next door to the temple on the same night and who may have information which may assist in identifying the offenders,” he continued.

“Thames Valley Police takes hate crime very seriously and we will make every effort to track the offender and bring them to justice.”
