:dateline:The Sikh Student Association helped students wrap their heads with turbans in Kogan Plaza on Sunday to promote Sikh awareness.
�Turban Day,� which is celebrated globally, is meant to promote cultural understanding, students said. Turbans are key parts of the Sikh religion, which is the world�s fifth largest religion with about 20 million followers.
�Our goal is to break that barrier, break the fear,� said Kabir Gumer, vice president of the Sikh Student Association.
