LONDON, UK—The Sikh Channel from UK has launched an innovative program aimed at promoting Sikh history to Sikh youth and teens. The program titled “Kaun Banega Gursikh Pyara” is a special Sikhi based quiz show where participants win prizes for correctly answering successive multiple choice questions of increasing difficulty.
The programme will be aired this Saturday, July 6th, at 8 PM for the first time. Viewers outside of England can watch the Sikh Channel live on www.sikhchannel.tv.
A similar app exists “SuperSant” for Apple and Android devices where users are quizzed on various aspects of Sikhi and Sikh history. The app is available for the Apple Appstore or from Google Play.
Navdeep Kaur, for a Sikh, charity and helping others is a part of religious duty. We ask for SARBAT da bhalla every time in ardas, sarbat includes non-Sikhs. Lets not nit pick.
The question is incorrect. The 10% donation is not only for religious purposes but for all/any charity purpose(s). If we’re going to teach our children Sikhi, then lets teach them the correct information.
