Guru Granth Sahib Sacrilege Case: Psedo-Sadh Bhaniarawala Released on Bail

piara_bhaniarawala2AMBALA, Haryana, India—Pseudo Sadh Piara Bhaniarawala was released on bail by Chief Judicial Magistrate AK Jain in the Ambala Court due to alleged lack of sufficient evidence against him as well as due to the withdrawal of statement of prominent witnesses against him.

The World Sikh Mission Society has taken strict notice and has declared to challenge the decision in higher court.

In a press conference Government Lawyer Narvinder Singh Bhatti and Advocate Lavneet Thakur said that Bhanerewala was accused of making improper remarks on Guru Granth Sahib and deeply hurting the sentiments of the Sikhs.

Instead of awarding him punishment he was released on bail by the Ambala Court on June 14th.

The court’s decision has been considered unfair by members of the World Sikh Mission including Narinder Singh (Head), Teerath Singh (Secretary General) and Kulwant Singh.
