:dateline:Last week, the End Racial Profiling Act was introduced into the Senate. It is important to let all Senators knows that the Sikh American community opposes racial profiling. Click here to send a message to your Senators today urging them to co-sponsor the End Racial Profiling Act.
Racial profiling allows Sikh Americans and others to be singled out for questioning, detention, and other law enforcement activities based on their religion or ethnicity rather than their individual behavior.
The End Racial Profiling Act will:
Prohibit racial profiling by any law enforcement agent or law enforcement agency
Require training on racial profiling issues as part of law enforcement training
Allow the community to know if law enforcement is engaging in racial profiling
Improve the response to incidents of racial profiling
Take a stand against racial profiling and urge your Senators to take action. Write to your Senators today to urge them to co-sponsor the End Racial Profiling Act!
Personalize your letter to make it even more effective. Tell your Congressmen that putting an end to racial and religious profiling is important to you!
