:dateline:Akal Takht’s appointed Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh has urged the CM of Punjab Parkash Badal, Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal, and President SGPC Avtar Makkar to pressure the Central Government for the release of Prof Bhullar.
Prof. Bhullar’s medical reports were released last week deeming him to be mentally unstable. The prolonged stay in jail where he was subjected to repeated torture has made him a victim of severe depression and psychotic symptoms.
Avtar Makkar (President SGPC) alleged that the Central Government �intended to hang Bhullar and his medical reports were deliberately suppressed and not released when his �petitions were under consideration in the Supreme Court.�Dal Khalsa Chief Kanwarpal Singh and AISSF Chief Karnail Singh Peer Mohammed are also demanding his �immediate release on humanitarian grounds. According to KanwarPal Singh if the government allows the hanging of a mentally unsound person it would be against the rules and considered as a “political murder” .
Giani Gurbachan Singh �said that the matter should be brought to the President’s notice for immediate action.
