:dateline:The Shiromani Granthi Raagi Sabha continued with their protest on the thirteenth consecutive day at Gurudwara Singh Sabha Nanak Nagar. The Raagi and Granthi Singhs have been raising their voices demanding an increase in their salaries. Dissatisfied over the current pay scale, they held a meeting� with the Deputy Commissioner and asked for the intervention of a government Minister to solve their problem.
The indifferent� attitude of the Jammu Gurudwara Parbhandhak Committee on the issue has further aggravated the Raagis and Granthis who are blaming the head of the gurudwara committee for not taking appropriate action. Kulbeer Singh and Rashpal Singh (Head Raagi Sabha) said that the numerous conventions held with the prabhandhak committees have failed to yield any fruitful results.
With the absence of elections in Jammu, the government had formed an adhoc committee to take care of the gurudwara issues. With the lingering problems identified by the Raagi Sabha, the adhoc committee seems to have failed in performing its duties.
