SGPC Neglected Gurdwaras Finally Recieve Some Relief in Haryana

:dateline:Where Gurdwaras based in Punjab are generating a lot of profit for the SGPC, the situation in places outside of Punjab is indigent. This is mostly because there is less sangat in such places and the SGPC is not doing much to help facilitate more programs to attract Sikh sangat.

Gurdwaras in Haryada in particular are in a bad condition as the local committees lack funds to run even weekly programs. In eye of such issues, the Haryana Sikh Gurudwara Prabhandhak Committee (Adhoc) has decided to provide fiscal aid to gurudwaras which are running short of funds.

The Haryada SGPC is not yet a recognized body by the SGPC or Sri Akal Takhat Sahib however aiming at the upliftment of the Gurdwaras, Sardar Gurwinder Singh (President Adhoc Committee) handed over a sum of Rs 21,ooo to the gurudwaras falling in Distt. Karnal in Village Halwana. He said that the sole purpose of their committee was to fight for the rights of Sikhs.

Another member Amrinder Singh Arora has said that the initiative taken to provide financial help to gurdwaras was done for the first time and is a unique achievement in and of itself. The maintenance of gurdwaras can be performed more efficiently now.

While Sikh24 encourages Sikhs living in countries abroad to help fund their native Gurdwaras, it is important that they realize how necessary it is to help other Gurdwaras which are being neglected by the SGPC. Apart from Gurdwaras in Haryana, special attention also needs to be paid to Gurdwaras outside of Punjab and India.
