:dateline:The decision by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee �to construct a memorial for the martyrs of the 1984 genocide in Gurudwara Rakab Ganj Sahib has been described as a commendable effort by Sardar Karnail Singh Peer Mohammed (President All India Sikh Student Federation).
Addressing a press conference he said that the country today is being ruled by the same Congress party which was responsible �for the horrific killings of Sikhs 29 years ago. Moreover, congress leaders like Sajjan Kumar, Jagdish Tytler and Kamal Nath are currently holding important government positions in spite of �the fact that they were responsible for mass murders.
Terming the construction of the memorial as a powerful gesture he said that it was a setback for the Sarna brothers (DSGMC members) who under the influence of the Congress government never put the memorial forward.
