The highlight of the sale is an early watercolor of Baba Deep Singh Ji fighting Afghan forces. Dating from the 1880s, it is expected to fetch 400 – 600 GBP. According to the Auction house the painting came from the collection of General Roberts who served in India during the late 19th century.
Other Highlights includes a historic painting of Maharajah Ranjit Singh with his Sikhs, early photographic views of the Golden Temple in Amritsar dating to 1864, portraits of Maharajah Ranjit Singh and Duleep Singh, a large oil on canvas of Maharajah Rajinder Singh, and historical documents� and books.
