Justifying the incident, Sardar Karnail Singh said that his action represented the resentment felt by the entire Sikh community and he would readily accept whatever punishment would be awarded to him for that.
The riot victims of 1984 including Bibi Nirpreet Kaur , Gurdeep Singh Goldy , Sattu Singh and Simranjeet Kaur Bakshi were also present in the court.
