:dateline:In a press statement, SAD Delhi and DSGMC leader Bhai Manjit Singh GK has alleged that Bibi Nirpreet Kaur’s indefinite fast was ended by Akal Takht Sahib Jatehdar keeping in mind that her well being was essential to award punishment to Sajjan Kumar. �As per the statement by Manjit Singh GK and Manjinder Singh Sirsa (General Secretary), Bibi Nirpreet Kaur is as an eye witness against Sajjan Kumar and holds a �strong position in the case.
Bibi Nirpreet Kaur, as a sign of protest against Sajjan’s acquittal was determined to continue with her fast in Jantar Mantar Delhi �but on the sixth day she was approached by Giani Gurbachan Singh who ordered her to end the fast.
“However the struggle for justice to the riot victims of 1984 continues”, alleged the SAD Delhi leaders. �They held that members of DSGMC and SAD will soon approach the Supreme Court for the formation SIT (Special Investigation Team) for conducting rightful investigations.
The members of DSGMC said that the presence of certain anti-Sikh groups have delayed the process of justice. Citing an example they said that investigations against Kamal Nath were not allowed to take place. Kamal Nath was responsible was causing a fire in Gurudwara Rakab Ganj during riots of 1984.
