AMRITSAR SAHIB—After much struggle and opposition, the Punjabi movie Sadda Haq is set to be released on 10 May. The movie had been banned in Punjab, Delhi, Haryana, Jammu and Chandigarh, but due to the continuous efforts by various religious associations, artists, reporters and media, the ban has been lifted.
While speaking at a press conference, lead actor and producer of the movie Kuljinder Sidhu expressed his gratitude to everyone for their support. He informed that only minor alterations have been made in the movie and it has been passed by the court under A listing certificate.
Sidhu further added that the movie has historic implication and has been directed keeping in mind the sentiments of people.
Sidhu added that Sadda Haq is expected to make huge profit in Punjab despite the hurdles in past. The movie has made record breaking sales in North America and England.
Sidhu blamed the political parties of Punjab for causing a delay in the release of the movie.
