Dhunda doing katha at Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Park Ave

:dateline:Sikh24.com has received reports of a protest currently taking place outside Singh Sabha Gurdwara, Park Avenue, Southall. The Gurdwara was continuing to host programs by a controversial preacher – Sarbjit Singh Dhunda after a meeting held yesterday.

The meeting was attended by Gurdwaras from throughout the country, including Singh Sabha Southall. During the meeting, a call was made to Jathedar Gurbachan Singh at Sri Akal Takath Sahib to verify whether Gurdwara Sahibs in UK should host Sarbjit Singh Dhunda, but seeing as Sangat wasdividedJathedar directed all programs to be cancelled.

Today a protest broke out as Sikh youth accused the management of Southall Singh Sabha of hiring thugs as security for Sarabjit Dhunda. Reports suggest that thugs also ran into Darbar Sahib of Southall Gurdwara removed dastars of Sikh youth. As a result, masses of young Sikhs are now protestingpeacefullyoutside the Gurdwara. Police have now surrounded the Gurdwara and are not allowing any Gursikh youth to enter the Gurdwarapremises.

  1. Waheguru ji.
God bless Prof Sarabjit Singh Dhunda ji and also all my brothers and sisters who respect truth because truthfulness is only Sikhi,my simple thinking is “i am a Sikh and my Guru is SGGS ji”i need to read/listen and understand the meaning of Gurbani from SGGS ji and try to live my life accordinghly. Also all who think / preach /live life on this line, i prey, my Guru Sahib SGGS ji, bless me their company always.

  2. I was there on to listen to Sarabjit Singh. The feeling I got from attending was that the protesters were just out to make an ‘ heavy ‘ impression. None of them had any inclination to listen to what Sarabjit Singh had to say. Its Sikh against Sikh motivated by blind egos. The result is . . . the selfish ego is taking over the so called ‘Sangat’

  3. The so called ‘gursikh’ youth were the ones who caused all the problem. I was there myself on the very day. Jathedar of Sri Akaal Takht was contacted and he ok’d Dhunda ji’s program to go ahead. Who do these youth think they are? As mentioned above, these youth and their elder leaders have become so tangled up in pakhand mariyaada that they cant handle the truth that Prof Dhunda speaks out about. Its time we ditched the pakhandi babey and started reading and researching gurbani for ourselves. Maybe if these pakhandi youths had done this already, they would not be doing beadbi in the gurdwara by causing commotion whilst hunkamnana was being read out at the same time!!! Where was the respect for SGGS ji from these youth at this time???? These youth are behaving in exactly the way RSS want thm to……..protesting against the likes of Dhunda ji who have the guts to speak the truth.

  4. I too was present at Singh Sabha Southall that day. Professor Dhunda’s katha was carried out peacefully which the entire Sangat listened to carefully. There were several “jaikaare” throughout his katha which evidenced that he was welcomed by the Sangat.

The youths that protested outside created a truly ugly scene once again resulting in further embarrassment to all Sikhs.

Perhaps the next time a renowned preacher like Professor Dhunda arrives, these youths can behave like grown ups and act diligently instead of like rowdy children in a playground. They brought shame upon our community and their own parents.

Quick message to these youths – please try to actually read the SGGS before acting like clowns because that’s exactly how you looked!

  5. These people should understand the definition of Gursikh first from SGGS. People lost in Karan khand has not stomach to digest the truth. Hope one day they get to the right path of Sikkhi

  6. The Protesting youth may call them selves Sikhs but they are Hindus in Sikh pehrava. Sarabjit Singh Dhunda does his katha according to Akal Takhat Maryada, sais nothing against Guru Granth Sahib, he is the parcharak who does tell you the true meaning of Gurbani and not tell jakanori stories like most babes which every one is bored with. It is a free world and these hooligans should not force their views on other poeple. People have the sense to decide what is right or wrong for themselves. Nobody makes a scene when the so call Gianin Thakar Singh does his koor parchar. These protesters are a disgrace to Sikhi, no one has authenticated that dasam granth is gurus bani, but the one that is Guru’s Bani they don’t let people listen to that. I have read parts of Tria Chratitar and I don’t blieve that my Guru could write such leud stuff.

  7. The Importance of Unity!

Dhan Dhan Shri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji Maharaj, the true King, was staying in Anandpur Sahib. One day Guru Ji, told the Sevadaars to cook a lot of rice. When the rice was cooked they were piled in a heap, then Guru Ji asked the Singhs to bring some deer. The deer were brought and allowed to eat the rice from the pile. All the deer ate some rice each and went away. The Singhs asked Maharaj “what does this mean?” Maharaj told them he will explain it tomorrow. The next day Maharaj asked that a few dogs be brought to the same pile of rice. When the dogs were brought to the pile the first one took a mouthful and the dogs started fighting, the pile of rice was ruined (they were all over the place drowned in blood) and the dogs left injured and hungry. Maharaj was laughing at this scene.

Daya Singh asked: “Maharaj, what is this? Yesterday you fed rice to the deer and today to the dogs, what does this mean?

Maharaj Jee said: “Singhs I have given you instructions for the times to come. If you act like the deer in a united manner, you will find satisfaction and success, but if you fight like the dogs did, you will get bloodied and beat up and will not get anything”

    WaheGuru Ji!

  8. Dass and singhs where there yesterday and we listened to the katha and stayed there till 1am. We saw people from the committee taking of a singhs dastar and we have names and video evidence of this. Secondly, the guru ghars granthi singhs and committee where using such bad language which shouldn’t of been used and thirdly I pay respect to all the singhs and Laura that travelled from far to show ekta against these anti sikh preachers. Videos will be posted soon so committe you better watch out.

  10. Is wich kihri wadi gal aa, punjab wich ta roj hi pagg lehdia.

  11. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh

Please be noted there was no dastar removed today as dass was present at guru ghar at the time. There was lots of security and police present to avoid trouble breaking out. I left after the Katha and till then nothing had happened and so far nothing has been heard locally about any mishap happening at guru ghar.

  12. The youths were the ones causing the problems- the guest speaker gives out a good message – yet another attempt at discrediting a worthy cause and decent leadership.
