Various Eminent Panthik Personalities Meet Bhai Hawara at Delhi Court

NEW DELHI—Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara was brought to a Delhi Court in the explosives case that is pending against him. Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara appeared to be in rising spirits. The court hearing was scheduled to take place at 2 PM, however it was changed to 1 PM at the last minute. A statement by the defence counsel says that this was deliberately done so Sikh Sangat could not see Bhai Hawara.

In the past, courts have tried to keep Bhai Hawara hidden to ensure he doesn’t get any publicity after court hearings. In order to stop him from meeting his family members, other Sikhs, and the media, they have tried to hold court hearings via video conferencing.

At the previous court hearings for Bhai Hawara and Bhai Paramjit Singh Bheora in Chandigarh on September 17, Sikh Sangat in large numbers honoured the families of both Singhs. Bhai Baldev Singh ‘Wadala’ (Hazoori Ragi Sri Darbar Sahib), Bhai Sukhwinder Singh ‘Nagore’, Bhai Kulwinder Singh (Ardasia, Sri Darbar Sahib), Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema, Bhai Baldev Singh Sirsa, Fatehnaama magazine staff, and others were amongst the sangat to present the honours. These Gursikhs also met with Bhai Hawara and Bhai Bheora in person.

At the Delhi court hearing, Bhai Baljit Singh Khalsa, Bibi Sandeep Kaur, and Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala were present amongst many others who wanted to meet Bhai Hawara. Bhai Hawara was able to meet a large number of Sikhs. He expressed grief over the passing away of Bhai Jaspal Singh Manjpur’s father.  Bhai Jaspal Singh Manjpur is an experienced advocate who is overseeing cases of many Singhs lodged in jail across India.

Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara was imprisoned after the execution of Beant “Singh”, then Chief Minister of Punjab for crimes against humanity and in order to save potentially thousands of innocent lives from genocide.
