The APSCC Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina, in a statement said, such acts cannot be tolerated and those who carry them out should not be spared. “In today’s social and democratic world, there is no place for abhorrence by movie makers. Those who try to provoke anti-religious sentiments by depicting counterfeit knowledge on sensitive religious issues should be put behind the bars,” Raina said.
“I am shocked that the American government delayed the arrest of the filmmaker and is trying to protect him. He should have been put behind the bars immediately for trying to hurt and provoke the religious sentiments of the Muslims all over the world,” he said.
He said that the director of the film should be tried by the judicial authorities for such a demeaning act. “We cannot tolerate disrespect to any religion and if we promote such unethical behaviour through media then, instead of peace we will only have bloodshed on roads, which we are witnessing even today,” Raina added.
great people… I salute these people for spreading brotherhood and standing up for others’ causes… True Sikhism…
Bhul chuk muaf, but my concern is mistaken identity jio…can’t we support without making it so public, please?
Sarjit Kaur ji, I think it makes perfect sense to condemn the film. Also in Kashmir we are living with a 99% Muslim population and need to keep an eye on our relations with them.
Hey Waheguru, why are Sikhs causing more mistaken identity by interfering in non-sikh affairs!?
Guru ji has taught us to fight for what is right. If we don’t stand up for anyone else, why do we except others to stand with us for our causes?
