Wake Up Call to the Panth: Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara (Part 2 of 3)

Continued from Part 1

Come and join together, my brethen; dispel your sense of duality and let yourselves be lovingly absorbed in the Lord. Let yourselves be joined to the Name of the Lord; become Guru Oriented, spread out your mat and sit together.

(Sri Guru Arjan Dev Jee, 1185)

We should make decisions collectively in the spirit of these teachings. Creating a new vision and road map to implement the critical decisions required to achieve our Panth’s rights and our home (Khalistan). Joining together under one Kesri Nishan Sahib (Saffron flag) under the guidance of the Great Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee, a movement for our rights should be ignited on a mass scale.  I do not just have belief but unshakable resolve that the Gurus who started our fight against oppression and faced death head on, will be at our side every step of the way. When the Khalsa Panth – the children of the Tenth Guru (Guru Gobind Singh Jee) recognises its roots and its role, and starts to live to the ideals of Gurbani (the Guru’s word – scriptures), then no power in this world can stop the walk to freedom in achieving Khalistan. If this is done, the Khalsa shall prosper in all walks of life and success will lie at the feet of the Khalsa. The only condition we need to fulfil is to persevere in ensuring our lives reflect a perfect image of the Guru’s teachings.

Another popular poet inspires us about the prospect of defeat and how to turn this defeat into victory and reminds us of Sirhind, stating “Those who know how to feign defeat win the battle in the end. Rise, oh Khalsa – the beloved of the Guru, your brothers in Sirhind are shouting out at you.” Khalsa Jee, now I want to humbly appeal to the Sikh Youth – You are the future of the Sikh Panth. My heartfelt prayer at the Guru’s and God’s feet, is that you realise that Guru Sahib has blessed us with pristine Sikhi.  Our current enemy is very cunning, knowing that it cannot beat the Khalsa of Guru Gobind Singh in an open battle. Thus it has taken to the classical political ploy of “Saam, Daam & Dand” (convince, bribe and violence). Through it’s first political ploy of Saam – it has convinced the masses to tow their political ideology, ensuring that alcohol flows in each and every home.  It is relentlessly pushing Sikh Youth into the hell of addictions of drugs and alcohol abuse.  The central and state governments, the intelligence agencies and the police are all working collectively to implement this path of addictions, through all the might they possess.

My Sikh brothers and sisters, you are more loved by me, than my very own life. I write in a very somber and saddened mind. To escape these traders of intoxicants and murderers, no political or Panthik leader will rise to the challenge. Brothers and sisters! Now you – the youth – need to make this critical decision of how to escape. Oh lions of the Guru, to preserve our self-respect and honour we need to rise to the challenges we face from our enemies. Bhagat Kabir Jee challenges us,

Kabeer, such is the touchstone of the Lord; the false cannot even touch it.

He alone passes this test of the Lord, who sacrifices all at God’s door.

(948)

Now, you need to decide if you can walk the path of truth, and escape the trap of intoxicants that has been laid. My brothers, the contemporary challenge is humungous. Over your heads lurks an unseen danger. Oh warriors, accept the challenge of intoxicants and defeat them with the fists of Sikhi, so that they can never look at Sikhs and the whole of Punjab ever again. Having faith and taking refuge in Guru Jee, you can escape this hell of intoxicants. Guru Jee will protect you and be at your side every inch of the way.

The Sikhs who live in foreign shores, I also have an appeal to you. Khalsa Jee – the circumstances that you live in and those that our brethren in Punjab live in, differ like day and night. Unlike Punjab you have freedom in everything that you do. Your governments prefer justice and support you when they are called upon. So you can support and help the youth of Punjab escape this path of addictions, that they are undertaking on a mass scale.  You should work to save the Sikh youth who are drowning in the ocean of intoxication – give them your unconditional support and get them back onto the path of the Guru – this will be a great Seva (selfless-service). With these immense efforts of yours, the voice and talk of Sikhi, can be re-invigorated into Punjab.  So, my brothers, sisters, fathers and mothers – please all contribute to this Panthik Seva and gain the blessings of the Guru.
