Leamington Gurdwara Once again Conspires against Khalsa Panth

Mota "Singh", one of the leaders of the ruling party that has control on the Gurdwara management who has notoriously supported genocide instigators such as Sumedh Saini

—The Leamington & Warwick Gurdwara Sahib once again stood against the Khalsa Panth this past week when it tried to censor Gurmat Parchaar done by Baba Baljit Singh Daddu Wale. As evident from its past activities, Leamington & Warwick Gurdwara Sahib is currently under the management of a Congress and Communist ruling party and has committed many anti-Panthik acts in the past.

Baba Baljit Singh was scheduled to hold diwan at the Gurdwara Sahib on May 21. Although reluctant, initially, Baba Baljit Singh Daddu Wale was given permission to hold a diwan, however the committee forced their will that Baba Baljit Singh can not make any “political” statements from the Gurdwara stage.

To the surprise of the Sangat, on May 21st, the Gurdwara committee prepared a list of topics for Baba Baljit Singh which he could not mention from stage. These topics included mention of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, Khalistan, Sant Bhindrawale, any other Shaheed of recent “Sangarsh”, and alcohol. As per the mandates of the local Gurdwara committee, if Dadu Wale was to mention any of these topics, the local Gursikh supporters, would be banned from holding any future programs at the Gurdwara. It is understandable why non-Khalistani and pro-Indian government committee would ban topics such as Khalistan and Sikh Freedom Struggle, however the mention of alcohol left all Gursikhs stunned. If preachers cannot mention the evils of alcohol from Gurdwara Sahibs, where else can they go?

Just this past year, Sikh24 exposed the Mayor of Leamington Spa, Mota Singh for having close links with Sumedh Saini. Although Mota Singh is not officially part of the Gurdwara committee, he has a heavy influence over the Gurdwara and is one the main leaders of the party in control of the Gurdwara.  Again in November, the same management committee was exposed for praising Indira Gandhi and denouncing the recent Shaheeds of Khalsa Panth. The same committee has refused to perform ardas for the release of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana and other Gursikhs lodged in Indian jails.

The Sikh Sangat needs to raise against anti-Panthik elements who have taken control of Gurdwara Sahibs. Such communists who have no belief in Sikh religion need to be shunned and removed from the Gurdwaras. If our Gurdwaras today are banning parchaar against the use of alcohol and drugs, who else is going to raise voice against such vices? Perhaps these current day “masands” have forgotten the ideology of the Sikh Gurus, especially the concept of Miri and Piri that was introduced by Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji.

  1. ITs really down to the sangat, anyone can stand in front of Guru Granth sahib in a respectful manner and recite, perform an ardas of goodwill, with whatever is on their mind. Just need conviction and courage to do it. Any member of sangat can add their slogan end of ardas prayers, “Raj karega Khalsa”, etc. This country allows freedom of speech, it seems members of sangat need to start exercising their rights. If they are then harrassed they will have recourse to the law. As seen in the past, these dictators lost a major court case and had to pay costs. But why do we allow such people in the first place who it seems from the above are anti panthic or anti human rights, to begin dictating to us in the first place. We have a committee which has no real regard for sangat, encouraging teaching of Sikh values, or supporting the community in anyway. They are all living non Sikh lifestyles, never meditate upon Bani etc etc. They tend to build in numbers when there is an issue, to show opposition, but we still make our voices and opinions heard and confront, Verbal harrassment is there current tactic, when someone speaks up. The appalling level of behaviour they are willing to go to, usually allows them to get their way. What do u do in situation like that?
The decent sangat members simply back off.

  2. is there a way to get hold of the list they sent out or every thing they mentioned in the list in which baba baljit singh was told not to talk about

    • These so called sikhs need to become genuine sikhs before throwing mud at someone’s personality.one should look at their own behaviour before criticising others. some of their activities do not fall short of thuggery, deception and many other wrong doings.I respect Baba Daduwal ji for his good deeds but not these writers of articles against Mota singh.
