SGPC Asks Pakistan to Build Crematorium for Sikhs living in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

AMRITSAR SAHIB—Pained over the unavailability of crematorium for Sikhs living in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the SGPC president S. Gobind Singh Longowal has appealed the Pakistan government to build a crematorium in Peshawar so that the Sikhs living there could properly perform funeral of their lost ones. He has said that it is very unfortunate that the Sikhs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have to go through a legal battle for building crematorium.

Terming the unavailability of crematorium to Peshawar resident Sikhs as an injustice to minorities living in Pakistan, Longowal has urged the Pakistan government to respect sentiments of Sikhs living in Pakistan. He has asked the Pakistan government to sort out all the problems of Sikhs living in Islamic State of Pakistan.
