MOHALI—The National Investigation Agency on May 14 filed charge sheet in Mohali based NIA’s Special Court in cases pertaining to murders of Christian pastor Sultan Masih and Hindu leader Amit Sharma.
Names of the accused mentioned in NIA’s charge sheet are as follow:
- Hardeep Singh alias Shera alias Pehalwan
- Ramandeep Singh alias Canadian alias Bagga
- Dharminder Singh alias Gugni
- Anil Kumar alias Kala
- Jagtar Singh Johal alias Jaggi
- Amaninder Singh
- Manpreet Singh alias Mani
- Ravipal, Pahad Singh
- Parvez alias Farru
- Malook Tomar
- Harmeet Singh alias PhD
- Gurjant Singh
- Gursharanbir Singh
- Gurjinder Singh Shastri
- Pahad Singh
It is pertinent to note here that Harmeet Singh alias PhD (suspected to be in Pakistan), Gurjant Singh (Australia), Gursharanbir Singh (UK) and Gurjinder Singh Shastri (Italy) have already been declared proclaimed offenders by the Court.
All the accused were booked under Sections 302, 379, 416 and 120 B of IPC and under relevant Sections of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 and Arms Act.
Like earlier, the investigating agency sought discharge of Taljit Singh alias Jimmy, claiming that no evidence had emerged against him during the investigation.
It may be recalled here that Amit Sharma and Sultan Masih were shot dead in Ludhiana last year. Sharma was shot dead near Durga Mandir on January 14 while Masih was gunned down on July 15 outside a church in Peerubanda Mohalla of Ludhiana.
How low the justice system can go. On second thought there is no justice for minorities.
