Sharing the development with media, Jathedar Hawara’s legal counsel Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur informed that Jathedar Hawara appeared before the Court via video conference from Tihar jail. He added that he apprised the Chief Judicial Magistrate about the biased approach of lower Court towards Jathedar Hawara following which the Court acquitted him.

It may be recalled here that the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC) Varinder Kumar had held Jathedar Hawara guilty in this case on April 9.  But he had transferred the matter to Chief Judicial Magistrate as he was constrained to sentence Jathedar Hawara maximum up to three years.

The circumstances got reversed after the Chief Judicial Magistrate conducted debate on the case and strong arguments by the defense counsel Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur ultimately let the CJM address verdict in favor of Jathedar Hawara.
