SGPC Condemns Attack on Bhai Amrik Singh Chandigarh

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal has strongly condemned the attack on Sikh preacher Bhai Amrik Singh Chandigarh in UK. He has said that any kind of ideological difference could be sorted out with debate and discussion.

Pained over the removal of Bhai Amrik Singh Chandigarh’s turban, Longowal has said that no issue could be resolved by attacking someone who doesn’t adhere to our ideology.

Longowal has also directed the Sikh exegeses to refrain from presenting their views over sensitive Sikh issues. He has suggested them to focus on narrating history of great Sikh masters, Gurbani and Sikh code of conduct.

It may be recalled here that Bhai Amrik Singh Chandigarh was attacked in Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha of Southall (UK) on May 8.
