ਕਬੀਰ! (ਜੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਕੋਲ) ਘੋੜੇ, ਹਾਥੀ ਆਦਿਕ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਆਵਜਾਈ ਦੇ ਸਾਧਨ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭਤਾ ਦੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ) ਲੱਖਾਂ ਝੰਡੇ ਝੂਲਦੇ ਹੋਣ (ਪਰ ਜੇ ਇਸ ਐਸ਼ਵਰਜ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਤੋਂ ਦਾਤਾਰ-ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਸਰ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ), ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਸੁਖ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਭਿਖਿਆ ਮੰਗਣੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਹੈ ਜੇ (ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ) ਦਿਨ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦਿਆਂ ਗੁਜ਼ਰਨ।

Message: Servitude to material possessions of the world
Humans from any societal level can have all the pomp and splendour of living. There is nothing wrong in living life luxuriously in respect of housing, transportation, travel and other such enjoyments if they do not lead us to ungratefulness and corruption.
If they do, then living a simple lifestyle is a better choice. A lifestyle that takes us closer to our Creator and allows us to care for our fellow human beings is much better than the one which takes us farther away.
