Peer Mohammad meets Jathedar Jagtar Singh Hawara in Tihar jail

NEW DELHI—Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad, president of All India Sikh Students Federation, on April 24 met the Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara in Tihar jail of Delhi. He was accompanied by Sikh activists Bhai Bagicha Singh Rattakhera and Bhai Balbir Singh Hissar on this occasion.

Sharing the development with Sikh24 earlier today, Peer Mohammad informed that Jathedar Hawara has appealed all the Sikh bodies to get united on a common platform. “While hailing the AISSF and Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) for beginning campaign to install CCTV cameras in state wide Gurdwaras, Jathedar Hawara has sought constitution of a Pehredar Committee to safeguard Gurdwaras,” he added.

Peer Mohammad further informed that Jathedar Hawara has inspired the AISSF to play vital role in Punjab for the constitution of World Sikh Parliament.

Jathedar Hawara was also handed over a translated version of letter written by the former AISSF General Secretary Shaheed Bhai Harminder Singh Sandhu to the then Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
