Massive Gathering of Sikh Activists Witnessed at Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu’s Funeral

BHOGPUR, Punjab—Mortal remains of political Sikh prisoner Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu were today consigned to flames at his native village Dalli situated near Bhogpur (Jalandhar). Thousands of Sikh activists from all over Punjab arrived here to be part of Bhai Harminder Singh Mintu’s funeral.

Damdami Taksal chief Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma, Dal Khalsa patron Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu, Dal Khalsa president Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema, Dal Khalsa’s former president S. Harcharanjit Singh Dhami, SAD (Amritsar) General Secretary S. Amrik Singh Ballowal, SAD (Amritsar) senior leader Jathedar Narinder Singh Khusropur, Sikh activist Bhai Papalpreet Singh and others were prominent among funeral attendees.

Bhai Mintu’s mother Mata Gurdev Kaur was honoured with ‘Siropao’ by the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) on this eve.

  1. Where were these activists when he was alive and what are they doing in support of hunger strike of Surat Singh Khalsa.
