Row over Nanak Shah Fakir:  SGPC run institutions to remain closed on April 13

AMRITSAR SAHIB—To lodge protest against the release of controversial movie ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’, the SGPC president S. Gobind Singh Longowal has announced to keep all the SGPC run institutions and SGPC’s head office closed on April 13.

In a press note shared with Sikh24, Longowal has said that there is sharp wrath among Sikh community about the obdurate behaviour of Harinder Sikka to release movie ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’. He has appealed the Sikh men & women to wear black turbans and black scarfs respectively to lodge protest against the movie ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’.

On being questioned about the SGPC’s announcement to file review petition in Supreme Court, Longowal informed that the review petition was successfully lodged in Supreme Court and the Court has put forth the hearing it.
