Chief Khalsa Diwan’s Internal Issues Taken to Akal Takht; Prominent Member Alleges Voting Anomalies

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Chief Khalsa Diwan’s member Rajmohinder Singh Majitha, who was defeated by Dr. Santokh Singh in by-poll for presidency of Chief Khalsa Diwan, on April 3 submitted a memorandum to the SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh seeking cancellation of CKD’s by-poll held on March 25. He accused that his rival faction used inappropriate tactics like voting by apostate members to win the election.

S. Rajmohinder Singh Majitha also apprised Giani Gurbachan Singh about voting by 70 CKD members who didn’t attend 12 CKD meeting continuously and deserved suspension from CKD’s basic membership.

S. Rajmohinder Singh Majitha was accompanied by the his 11 accomplices including S. Nirmal Singh, Honorary Secretary S. Surinder Singh Rumalian Wale, Prof. Hari Singh, S. Swinder Singh Kathunangal, Dr. Jaswinder Singh Dhillon, S. Jatinder Singh Bhatia, Bhai Ajaib Singh Abhiasi.
