AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Kaar Sewa (volunteer service) of clock tower entrance gate’s domes at Sri Harmandir Sahib was begun by the SGPC appointed Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh on February 10. Giani Jagtar Singh, SGPC President Gobind Singh Longowal and Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale were also present on this eve.
It is pertinent to note here that the SGPC has assigned Kaar Sewa (volunteer service) of mount gold on dome of clock tower entrance gate of sanctum sanctorum Sri Harmandir Sahib to Kaar Sewa seminary Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale. Under this project, about 40 kgs of gold will be used to wrap the main dome with 22 plates and small domes of this entrance gate.
Highly appreciating the initiative by Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale, Giani Gurbachan Singh appealed the worldwide Sikh masses to contribute in this project physically, spiritually and financially.
Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuri Wale said on this occasion that the project to install gold on domes of clock tower entrance gate will be completed by April this year.
SGPC has been working for the past several years on “beautification” of the entrance plazas to Sri Harmandir Sahib. This past year in November 2017, SGPC performed a lot of work on the Clock Tower gate, giving it a more modern look.
Yes make buildings gold but forget sikhi is the message of these gunde SGPC – in any case all sangat’s maya not out of their pockets.
