Bhai Gursahib Singh’s Martyrdom Anniversary To Be Marked on Jan 22 in Mandiala

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—The Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwala is going to mark 27th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Bhai Gursahib Singh Mandiala at his native village Mandiala (Amritsar Sahib) on January 22.

Interacting with media today at Amritsar Sahib, SYFB’s Senior Vice President Bhai Ranjit Singh Damdami Taksal informed that Sri Akhand Path Sahib commemorated to the martyrdom anniversary will be laid on January 20.  “Following the culmination of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, renowned Raagi Jathas, Dhadis and Kavishars will delight the Sikh sangat by addressing religious discourse on this occasion,” he said.

Sikh24 has learnt that an Amrit Sanchaar Samagam will also be held on this eve.

SYFB’s District President of Amritsar Sahib Giani Simranjit Singh, District Vice President Bhai Harpreet Singh Tony and Bhai Jasbir Singh Mandiala (brother of Shaheed Bhai Gursahib Singh Mandiala) were also present on this occasion.

Shaheed Bhai Gursahib Singh Mandiala had attained martyrdom while battling against Indian state oppression on January 22, 1991. He was President of Sikh Students Federation’s (headed by Gurjit Singh) unit in Khalsa College. He had also remained active in armed Sikh struggle under alias Inderpreet Singh Khalsa.
