CHANDIGARH, Punjab—A Shocking truth about the killing of two innocent Sikh youths namely Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Bhai Gurjit Singh Nikke Sarawan in the Behbal Klan tragedy has come to fore after more than two years. A Chandigarh based Central Forensic Science Laboratory has revealed that the bullets were fired from SLRs (Self Loading Rifles). It has been further revealed that it was impossible to say that from which rifle these bullets have been fired as the bullets have been tampered excessively.

Contrarily, the Forensic Science Laboratory of Punjab government has said in its report that the bullets were not fired from SLR thus giving an indirect clean chit to the police cops.

Two contradictory reports by the Central and Punjab FSLs have put the Punjab government appointed Investigation Commission probing Behbal Klan tragedy into dilemma.

Meanwhile, the Investigation Commission’s head Justice Ranjit Singh has directed the DGP Punjab Suresh Arora to thoroughly investigate that who tampered these bullets and take action against him.

It may be recalled here that the Punjab police had opened an unprovoked firing on the peacefully protesting Sikhs against Guru Granth Sahib’s sacrilege at Behbal Klan. Two Sikhs namely Shaheed Bhai Krishan Bhagwan Singh and Shaheed Bhai Gurjit Singh Nikke Sarawan were martyred in this firing while several others were left seriously injured.
