Charanjit Chadha’s son Inderpreet Commits Suicide

AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Inderpreet Chadha, son of Chief Khalsa Diwan’s former President Charanjit Chadha, today committed suicide by firing bullet in his head. Although, he was immediately taken to a nearby Hospital but the doctors declared him dead. It is learnt that Inderpreet Chadha was quite upset after an objectionable video of his father had gone viral.

It is pertinent to note here that the victim woman principal had also accused Inderpreet Chadha of threatening her in a complaint lodged before the Amritsar Police. Inderpreet Chadha was given interim bail by the court on the condition of joining police investigation against his father Charanjit Chadha.

Meanwhile, the Amritsar police on January 2 issued a look-out circular against Charanjit Chadha even as his son Inderpreet Chadha had joined the investigations.

Amritsar’s Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Harjit Singh said that the police had issued the circular against Chadha. He said his son Inderpreet had joined the investigations and the police had recorded his statement.

It may be recalled here that following a complaint by a woman principal of one of the schools being run by the management of CKD, the police had registered a case against the father-son duo under Section 354 (forcing a woman with an intent to outrage her modesty) of the IPC and other charges.
