KHEMKARAN, Punjab—32 years old Chamkaur Singh, elder son of United Akali Dal’s General Secretary Satnam Singh Manawa, passed away on December 29 following prolonged illness. Notably, Satnam Singh Manawa is nephew of veteran Taksali Shaheed Bhai Sujan Singh Manawa who was close aide of 20th century’s great Sikh Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwala.
Chamkaur Singh had been suffering of kidney problem from some time and was under ailment at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital. He is survived by a son and his wife.
Mortal remains of Chamkaur Singh were consigned to funeral pyre on December 30 at his native village Manawa (Khemkaran).
